Herbalife's Scientific Advisory Board, Medical Affairs Group and Medical Advisory Board are the guiding forces behind Herbalife's industry-leading success. This team of respected scientific experts directs the development of Herbalife products through research and product testing so that we continue to meet the highest standards set for the Industry today. Three of our eminent scientists and nutritionists are:

Dr David Heber. M.D, Ph.D, F.A.C.P, F.A.C.N

Dr Heber is included in "The Best Doctors in America" and "Who's Who in America". In addition to writing over 70 scientific articles and 2 professional texts, he has also written 4 books for the public: "Natural Remedies for a Healthy Heart", "The Resolution Diet", "What Color is Your Diet?" and "The L.A. Shape Diet".

Dr Heber's main research interests are obesity treatment and nutrition for cancer prevention and treatment. He serves as chairman of Herbalife's 12 member Scientific Advisory Board which comprises world renowned scientists and also of Herbalife's Medical Advisory Board which is attended by leading scientists and medical doctors. The boards support the Company's internal product development by providing expertise on obesity and human nutrition and conducting reviews as well as providing advice on product research and development.

Dr Luigi Gratton. M.D, M.P.H

Dr Gratton co-ordinates the strategic management and direction of Herbalife's Medical Advisory Board to ensure that all the distrubutors have a thorough understanding of our products, ingredients and their benefits to our customers. He has written numerous articles on nutrition and obesity and appeared on television speaking on nutrition, anti-aging medicine, and sports nutrition.

Dr Louis Ignarro.Ph.D

Dr Ignarro is currently a distinguished professor of pharmacology at the UCLA School of Medicine's department of molecular pharmacology in Los Angeles, which he joined in 1985. He has made exceptional contributions to science. In 1998 his research into nitric oxide and its benefits to the human body was recognised with the Nobel Prize for Medicine. His work has since lead to additional reearch by scientists throughout the world on nitric oxide. Dr Ignarro has been working with Herbalife to develop Niteworks which is a dietary supplement designed to boost the body's own production of nitric oxide. Since the completion of this development Dr Ignarro has served on the Company's Scientific Advisory Board.
